Not much new

February 11, 2007 |

I have not spent much time on the layout of the blog. Very busy with work. Travel to NYC. Could have gone better. Drove around San Francisco this afternoon. Always new neighborhoods. Birthday dinner for my mother tonight. 51 Monday.

Bought two books today. The best short stories of Fyodor Dostoevsky and The C# Programming Language, Second Edition. I only got half way though The Idiot the first time I tried to read it. Maybe if I start with some shorter Dostoevsky and work my way up I will be able to find out what happens to the prince and the rest of the hundred or so characters…

The C# Sharp book was written by Aders Hejlsberg (principle architect) and a couple other members of his team. It also covers version 2.0 of the language along with some really cool new feature like Generics, Anonymous methods, Iterators, Partial Types and Nullable types. I understand a bit about some of the new features but I definitely need a bit more introduction to others. Nullable types look interesting and should make working with RDBMSs easier.
